I hadn't heard of this plant before; it's really lovely. Unfortunately, it's a serious invasive problem and classified as a "noxious weed" in many parts of the United States. How nice for you, though, to be able to enjoy it in a part of the world where it is a native (or near neighbor). -Jean
As always, the photos are really very nice. With my little old cheap camera I try my best but will never compete with those. I do enjoy my visits to your postings. Jack

Jean, I did not know thsi situation for tamarix in USA, it's sad, but what is portrayed here is from the Botanical Garden of Belgium near Brussels. Is a fantastic place and I am doing a work during some weeks. I will be posting this month with images of the garden. I could not take any shoots today, its pouring and feels like fall, not nice for midsummer. Thanks!

jack, thanks for the compliments. you know is not always about the perfect camera, but the intrepid eye to catch the image, and your blog offers many beautiful images, so your eye must be the right one!
