I am going to be posting on a series of urban gardens and parks I have been visiting in the last weeks of the spring.
The first one is the garden Parque Florido in the Fundación Lázaro Galdiano, a space of about 5,000 square meters that was created between 1907 and 1090 following the designs of Italian landscaper Alfonso Spalla. The garden has an intense French influence of the time, with paths, lawns and a variety of trees: palm trees, cedars, magnolios, sophoras, among others.
The space is small and surrounded by high buildings, but creates a kind of secluded oasis for the museum with its tall trees and masses of green walls and flora.
A kind of sanctuary for bees in the city!
